Education
Pasteur Foundation - UK has established the PF-UK Student Mobility Fund to allow early-career scientists to gain firsthand experience in the labs at Institut Pasteur and leading UK based research institutions. The initiative is essential in training the next generation of scientific leaders.
“International collaborations are a key experience for young researchers to learn how science functions in different countries. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain lab experience in a new setting. Furthermore, philanthropic support allows us to offer this valuable experience to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. This experience helps young scientists to make informed decisions about their next steps and to be competitive for future PhD and other opportunities. Finally, this internship also brings young and enthusiastic individuals, who contribute in meaningful ways to the science happening in our labs.”
The PF-UK Student Mobility Fund
The PF-UK Student Mobility Fund operates across all levels of higher education, and has three key aims:
-
Education: Offering cross- border exchanges for young scientists to have an in-lab experience at a key stage in their early careers. This is a desirable building block for a research career going forward.
-
Accessibility: We believe access to education should not be a barrier. Our PF- UK Student Mobility Fund provides higher education for the very brightest students, regardless of their background through our fully funded programmes.
-
Impact: This programme has significant impact both on the individual young researchers who take part in a cross-border exchange and on advancing research into some of the most pressing threats to global public health.
